Mount Kilimanjaro, Marangu route first camp

Embark on an exhilarating Mount Kilimanjaro Daytrip with our seasoned team.

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before our expert driver and Mountain guide pick you up for the journey to Marangu gate, situated at an altitude of 1800m.

With a packed lunch in hand, prepare for an unforgettable trek through the montane forest, spanning approximately 8 km. Led by our licensed guide, you’ll ascend to Mandara hut at 2720 meters, climbing a total altitude of 920 meters throughout the day. This trek requires moderate fitness levels and promises stunning panoramic views along the way. Common sightings along the trail include various species of birds, such as turacos, sunbirds, and hornbills. Additionally, small mammals like blue monkeys and bushbuck may occasionally be spotted darting through the forest canopy.

After a rewarding descent, bid farewell to our team. We suggest to save some money for tips to your driver and guide if you enjoyed your day. We will take care to return you safely to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.

Cultural discovery

There are more than 100 distinct ethnic groups and tribes in Tanzania, not including ethnic groups that reside in Tanzania as refugees from conflicts in nearby countries. Unlike its neighbouring countries, Tanzania has not experienced large-scale ethnic conflicts, a fact attributed to the unifying influence of the Swahili language.

The most “famous” tribe is called Maasai and they live near national parks such as Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Get in touch if you wish to learn more.

National parks: Arusha National park

Arusha national park is the closest to the city of Arusha, but not less stunning! Start your day with breakfast at the hotel, then hop in with our driver and guide. We will bring packed lunch and soft drinks, for your Arusha National Park adventure. Upon arriving at the park gate, we will need a short pause for permit check-in, while you can take a moment to explore the park’s features on the signboards.

Arusha National Park offers both walking tours and game drives. In the morning, we recommend a guided walk with an armed ranger to get up close to buffalo, giraffes, and the stunning Tululusia waterfall. After lunch, you can then hop back in the car for a game drive, visiting Lake Momela and spotting flamingos.

As the day concludes, your driver handles permit checkout, and we head back to your hotel. We suggest to save some money for tips to your driver and guide if you enjoyed your day. Your adventure ends, but the memories linger on.
